Customizing a Prefab in Napa

Niche Interiors elevates the look of a prefab vacation home in Napa with bespoke details and customized furnishings.

BESPOKE DETAILS FOR THE WIN!   We're excited to kick off 2019 by sharing our newly completed project in Napa! Working on a prefab home was a unique challenge for Niche. We needed to work within the constraints of a prefab, while pushing boundaries to make it feel tailored and personalized for our clients and their lifestyle. We worked closely with Blu Homes to select finishes and fixtures and to add custom touches throughout the home. Sustainability and healthy indoor air quality were top priorities for our clients, a busy young family looking for an indoor/outdoor weekend retreat outside of San Francisco. Niche collaborated with local fabricators to introduce handmade elements throughout the home. In the master bedroom, a faux-bois plaster wall treatment adds texture and architectural interest. Locally fabricated live edge nightstands add an organic element. SUPPORTING LOCAL CRAFTSMEN Our clients love to entertain, and being able to host other families at their vacation home was a must. Niche designed an expansive oak dining table and coordinating benches to maximize the space – providing seating for 12 -15 people! The table, benches, and bentwood pendant lights were fabricated by local craftspeople. NON-TOXIC UPHOLSTERY We designed modern, eco-friendly sofas for our chemically-sensitive clients, using latex foam wrapped in organic wool, FSC-certified wood frames and non-toxic glues. Free of all harmful flame retardant chemicals! Terra Ferma Landscapes designed the outdoor spaces, complete with a poolside cabana, firepit and bocce court.  CLIENT TESTIMONIAL   "Sitting here now, our Napa home is stunning. I walk around each day feeling incredibly happy and peaceful in the environment. The colors and aesthetic are soothing, the art is inspiring and the attention to detail is never lost on me. I feel deeply grateful and fortunate that I had the opportunity to partner with Jennifer and Niche and hope to do so on my next project."      – Gordon & Sophia   Did you catch us in The Wall Street Journal last week?!
