2021 is off to an exciting start at Niche Interiors! We began working on a wide range of new projects from Wine Country to Southern California and welcomed two fabulous new members to the Niche team!
All of our projects are in the permitting and construction phases, which means we're deep in the creative design development stage and full of ideas! Our team is currently embracing the challenge of designing two very different homes - a casual, family-friendly vacation home in Sonoma and a sophisticated, luxe historic estate in Southern California. Read on for a peek inside our creative process.
Our rockstar intern for the past year, Erin Stickley, recently joined the team as a full-time Design Assistant and has been invaluable in helping keep our projects on track. Erin is always smiling (under her mask) and ready for any challenge that we throw her way!
Bekah Zimmerman joined Niche in March as an experienced Designer, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in high-end residential design. She has over 8 years of experience working for prestigious local firms, most recently coming from a 4 year stint at Jay Jeffers Design. Read Erin and Bekah's full bios on our team page.
SONOMA VACATION HOME :: GREAT ROOM RENDERING + MATERIAL PALETTE
Our latest Wine Country vacation home is located in Sonoma; with double height ceilings and ample natural light this home is going to be the perfect place for our client to escape on weekends. We opted for a mix of contemporary furniture and lighting (No kitschy farmhouse here) and textural fabrics with pops of salmon and navy for this fun-loving modern family.
HISTORIC ESTATE :: DESIGN DIRECTION
Southern California is calling our name! Not only is this our first project over 15,000 square feet, it is also our first historic home designed by a renowned architect. We have just started sinking our teeth into this incredible project – here is a glimpse at initial design ideas for two of the formal spaces, the foyer and the living room.
In the formal living room, vintage pieces sit alongside works by contemporary designers to create an elevated, collected feel. Next up: layering in pattern, color and texture with fabric and finish selections.
