FIRST LOOK: BOLD VICTORIAN REMODEL IN HAYES VALLEY
While our client's charming Victorian home had great bones and plenty of original architectural details, it had been neglected and was in need of a major update. Our design team transformed the cramped rooms and awkward spaces into a home designed for modern living.
The kitchen and dining room saw the most dramatic transformation – we removed a fireplace wall that previously divided the two rooms, creating an open plan layout. Custom walnut cabinets maximize every inch of storage while Cambria countertops add the look of marble without the maintenance.
HOME OFFICE
We accentuated the intricate moldings and wainscoting throughout the home by painting the trim in Benjamin Moore's 'Onyx' color. It's incredible how much of an impact this design choice made, instantly adding striking contrast in every room. Since our client has a penchant for bold hues, the custom built-in cabinetry, walls and ceiling were all painted in a vibrant blue.
PRIMARY BATHROOM
The black and white color palette continues in the primary and guest bathroom flooring, with marble tiles in the primary and classic hexagon tiles in the guest bath. Show-stopping oxblood ceramic shower tiles are complemented by brass plumbing fixtures and walnut accents.
