As the homeowners embarked on a major remodel with our friends at William Duff Architects, they called in Niche Interiors to help with interior design, furnishings, and decorative lighting. The clients envisioned a home that juxtaposed modernist themes with the original Victorian details of their historic San Francisco home. Herringbone wood floors, traditional paneling and trim mix with a sleek staircase in the foyer. A modern console table and geometric light fixture by Bec Brittain add contemporary elements that complement the architectural details.
COHESIVE PALETTE
The black and white color scheme is carried throughout the home and is most evident in the striking kitchen. Oak and leather barstools add warmth to the space and tie in with the light wood floors. In the living room a low slung wool sectional and Eames lounge chair and ottoman look over incredible views of downtown San Francisco.
CLEAN LINES + LUXE TEXTURES
A patterned silk and wool rug adds softness and movement to the primary bedroom. The Niche Interiors team designed a custom oak and mohair settee to provide an additional seating area opposite the bed.
FIRST ANNUAL ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN WINE COUNTRY SOCIAL
We recently hosted a party for our incredible architecture and design community at Jennifer's property in Wine Country. Peak Projects, San Francisco's premiere Owner's representative company, joined us as a co-host. The guest list included San Francisco's top architects and contractors working in the high-end residential field. Wine Country was the perfect location to host a low-key event that allowed our industry friends to catch up, share ideas and foster new connections.
